City Center is a mixed use development which consists of office buildings residential apartments, a hotel and a four story below grade parking garage.  The development is located in downtown Washington D.C. on H Street and 11th Street and sits on the previous location of the D.C. Convention Center.  The development gets its name from the possible attempt to shift the cultural and social center of D.C. from the national mall.  The plans were approved as early as 2006 but construction did not begin until 20011 due to the recession in 2008 making it difficult to finance the project.  One and Two city Center was not finished until 2014 the apartments were not open until 2015 and the hotel is still under construction.  For more information on City Center visit   http://citycenterdc.com/.
